CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF PASSION FOR CREATING THE FINEST CANDIES FOR THE MOST DISCRIMINATING PALETTE.
Is Cedrinca the name of a graceful lake fairy, as Gabriele D'Annunzio was wondering in the 20's, or the delicious melting of citrus with chocolate, that at the end of '800 has marked the start of a sweet adventure?
Cedrinca originates from the idea of a retired colonel, Giuseppe Dalla Bona, fan of exotic specialties. He decided to produce his chocolate and added citrus from Lago di Garda. The products of this small artisanal enterprise started to be appreciated. Access to the lake and railroads allowed the company to grow quickly and meet the growing consumer demand for its products. In 1940, because of the war, the availability of cocoa and sugar became limited so the production began using more hazelnuts, a native product of the region. Following the War, Cedrinca continued its growth, enlarging its laboratory and investing in more advanced machinery, which added efficiency and product integrity. With a range of more than eighty different fine candies, made from only with natural ingredients, and no preservatives or colorings, Cedrinca started to be recognized and appreciated around the world. The objective of the company today reflects the same ambition of the Company founder: "to create good products using natural ingredients, which satisfy the most discriminating palette, as Cedrinca will be the name of a smile shaped as a candy."
OLD WORLD RECIPES, ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS IS CEDRINCA'S DESTINY.
For over a century, it has been influenced by a wise and long-term choice: the use of natural ingredients from selected sources. Italian sugar, Piedmont mint, Alba hazelnut, fresh yogurt from Centrale del Latte in Brescia, and Sicilian citrus aromas. In Cedrinca's history, not a single preservative has been used to produce our outstanding line of products. The manufacturing process is based on the respect of the original recipes, allowing the natural ingredients to blend for long resting periods to maximize our flavors.
